KIMBERLY KENNEDY: HOW I OVERCAME IMPOSTER SYNDROME TO LAUNCH A BUSINESS IN A “CROWDED” MARKET. YOUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE AS AN INEXPERIENCED COACH.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another episode of the Punch Drunk Soul Podcast! I’m your host Ali Daniel. Today I’m bringing on Kimberly Kennedy, a mom of two, hairstylist by trade, and as of the last two years, business coach and strategist for hairstylists. I love this episode because Kimberly is such a great example of how there’s a coach for just about EVERYONE! If you want to help transform someone’s life - usually the best place to start is in your own backyard, with the skills you already know and have acquired!I’ve been following Kim’s journey as a coach and online entrepreneur for the last two years - we actually started at just about the same time when we enrolled in a program together so it’s cool to look back at how far we’ve both come since then when we felt like fish out of water at an event we attended together with a sea of experienced coaches and online entrepreneurs.

In this episode, Kim shares how she started her coaching business so she could spend more time at home with her kids and so her time wouldn’t be so dictated by her hairstylist chair - which often means weekends.

She wanted to create a life where work fit INTO her life and not the other way around. So she started small - with local meetups, teaching women what she knew about growing a hairstylist business. It was messy, it was completely unknown to her and she felt way out of her element. But she did it and has since been able to grow a successful online business out of it. She shares how one of the biggest things that stopped her from getting started for some time was Imposter Syndrome and the fear of not being experienced enough. She shares how there are SO many other more experienced hairstylists out there that she felt like “who am I to be teaching anyone and stepping into this educator role?”We dive deep into how she overcame those fears in this episode, so I know you guys are going to love it because I hear SO many of you guys sharing with me that you don’t feel qualified or experienced enough to coach. Hopefully this episode inspires you to just start messy because action will breed clarity and confidence! Definitely give us a shoutout on instagram I’m @PunchDrunkSoul and Kim's is @KimberlyMarieStylist and let us what you think of this interview.

Let’s dive into it.
